Use a screwdriver to push up the end and then remove the spline all around the screen. When the spline is off, the old screen will easily lift off the window screen frame.

2. Place the new screening onto the window screen frame and use scissors to cut around the window nearly an inch bigger than the opening. It is important that the screen is still square and centered on the frame before attaching it.

3. Begin at an edge and run the spline around the groove at the edge of the frame on top of the screening. Move the spline roller to the outside of the frame and roll it carefully along the groove while pushing the new spline and screening into place. When you reach a corner, simply use the end of a screwdriver to gingerly push the spline down into the corner.

4. When the corner is done, the spline roller can be used to put the screening and spline on the other side as well.

5. When returning to your starting point, use scissors to cut the spline so it will overlap on the corner by an inch and push it in securely with your screwdriver. Cut off the extra screening all along the frame.
